Keymer & Hassocks vs East Grinstead Mariners II
Stubbins Cup

K & H progressed to the next round of the Stubbins Cup with a 2-0 win at home to East Grinstead Mariners.

Mariners had the best of the early exchanges but K & H adopting a patient approach eventually showed what they are about as Jo Davey set up Toby Raftery to finish with a low drive and Stuart Thompson played a short ball to the near post which Gregor Ross read perfectly to deliver the second.Mariners had a good chance to pull one back when their centre forward found himself clean through but he could not hit the  target.

The second half turned out to be rather flat apart from Mariners spurning one half chance and Wayne Hamilton missing a penalty after Davey had been bought down.

Craig Jackson aquitted himslelf well at right back but K & H MOM was Troy Raftery being dominant in defence throughout.
