Keymer & Hassocks vs Crawley Portuguese
Div 1

K & H played their first game since 14/12/13 still unable to use their home pitch the game being switched to Clayton.Crawley Portuguese were the opponents for the day and had proved hard to beat in the past

K & H had to share a keeper for the day as Gary Thomas was unavailable. The keeper Stuart Ridley was playing his first game for the Club so did not know most of his teammates

They started quite brightly up the slope and probably edged possession also creating the best chances as both Matt Agate and James Harris
saw close range efforts cannon of the keeper .CP did have the ball in the net but it was rightly ruled out for offside

The second half did not work out as planned as the CP forwards proved to be much more of a handful and the K & H defence struggled to contain them until finally one broke clear and smashed the ball home from the edge of the area. This was repeated shortly afterwards. Keeper Ridley then made a really good save in a one on one but was beaten again by another cool finish although a mistake by the lino contributed as the player was clearly offside.

It was not all  bad news in a sense as K & H created three really good chances and if they had the accuracy of the CP forwards finishing would probably have won the game
