Keymer & Hassocks vs Felbridge
Div 1

K & H took the field against Felbridge for the fourth time this season and having won the previous three were reasonably confident of getting a result. So it seemed as James Emmens caused problems down the left from the start with Rob Kift looking dangerous in the middle. An early breakthrough came from the other flank however as Gary Thomas burst forward from the back and found Kift who finished first time. The Felbridge keeper then made a fine save from Simon Catford after Toby Raftery had set him up.Somewhat against the run of play Felbridge then fashioned a great goal the ball being flicked over the defence followed by a shot on the run

So 1-1 at half time but K & H still felt the outcome of the game was in their hands that is until ,they took the field again-what followed was one of their worst ever displays-they struggled to get possession when they did the passing was poor and they quickly lost the ball so nothing at all was created.Felbridge who were working very hard dominated possession and it was no surprise when they took the lead managing to get behind the home defence for another smart finish. It was difficult to see a way back although Gregor Ross coming on for his first game in a year did start to make an impact in the middle.Time was running out and the Felbridge lads were defending well until the final minute when Kift put in Stuart Thomspon who thankfully found the far corner to spare K & H’s blushes and deny Felbridge the win they probably deserved
