Keymer & Hassocks vs Burgess Hill Albion
Junior Cup Semi Final

K & H won through to the final of the Junior Charity Cup with a 3-2 win over Burgess Hill Albion. The performance was however one of the worst in the Club's history with BHA having approximately 70% possession and everyone bar their MOM keeper Craig Jackson well below form. With a game to come the following Monday which would secure a 3rd place finish in Div 2 in their first season at that level the players were maybe trying to keep something back.

The first half was largely uneventful until James Harris jumping as high as the BHA keeper's hands maybe unsighted him as the ball hit him full in the face and broke to Stuart Thompson who carefully picked his spot.

Matt Thomas put K & H further in ahead in the second half with a soft goal-the ball was worked into the six yard box and he scooped it unchallenged into the roof of the net.BHA hit back with a powerful strike which gave Jackson no chance but sub Robin King sealed it when he ran onto a through ball and rounded the keeper for a tap in.

BHA took the game to K & H for the last fifteen and were rewarded with another excellent drive from outside the box and would probably have forced extra time if an earlier fierce free kick had gone in rather than rattle the crossbar.
