Newick vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 2

K & H reversed a 2-0 deficit for the 2nd week running as they battled to a 3-2 win away at Newick.Newick had the better of the first half exchanges-both teams had to reorganise through injuries and Newick appeared to adjust more quickly to the changes.K & H felt reasonably comfortable until the end of the first half when a deep cross to the far post caught them out and the Newick forward had an easy conversion into an open goal.

K & H did burst into life at the start of the second half when both Jo Davey and Toby Raftery had chances but then the roof fell in as Craig Jackson's attempted clearance cannoned back over the line via a Newick player who had cleverly closed him down.

At this point it seemed not to be K & H's day but K & H MOM Jo Davey hauled them back with some penetrating runs before finally breaking through for a solo effort.James Handford brought them level after Stuart Thompson was fouled in the box.Troy Raftery pushed up into midfield and was unlucky when he hit the bar and saw another long range effort well saved at full stretch by the keeper.

Both sides strove for the winner but Newick appeared to feel the pace a little more in the last ten minutes as K & H upped the pressure and finally secured the points with Thompson heading home from a Handford corner.
