Sporting Lindfield vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 2
On another extremely hot day K & H notched a 5-1 win away to Sporting Lindfield in Division 2.
Unusually for them they started brightly and were soon 2-0 up.Jo Davey set up the first James Harris hitting home after his effort had rebounded off the post.Toby Raftery then put in Fin Fogarty with a ball to the far post which Fogarty despatched first time.
Sporting replied by effectively taking over the game putting K & H under lots of pressure and pinning them in their own half. They deservedly got back into the game by converting a penalty after Fogarty had bought his man down.
The second half saw a rejuvenated K & H with Dave Edwards (MOM) who came on for the injured Fogarty performing splendidly at full back whilst James Emmens replacing James Handford was equally influential on the left, scoring number 3 with a powerful drive from outside the box.
Andy Waterman slotted in the 4th after chasing down the keeper and Toby Raftery finished the scoring following more good work by Emmens.
