Cuckfield Rangers vs Keymer & Hassocks
Division 2
Despite fielding a somwhat patched up side with a number of players carrying injuries K & H got off to a flying start away to Cuckfield Rangers with strikers Toby Raftery and James Harris combining well as both registered early on.Ian Smith played the ball over the top for Raftery to run onto and he placed his shot wide of the keeper-he then put Harris in who found the far corner.
MOM James Handford added to the tally finishing off a through ball from Raftery and he then returned the favour after chasing down the goalie who mis-hit his clearance.
Cuckfield had plenty of the ball and forced a number of corners but were unable to seriously threaten the K & H goal.
After the break with the temperature soaring K & H were content to save their energy as best possible whilst Cuckfield upped the pace somewhat launching waves of attacks but Gregor Ross and Dave Edwards worked hard in the middle to break them down whilst the defence stood firm against a fair degree of pressure.
K & H were restricted to only a couple of chances as time ran down.
