Lewes Bridgeview II vs Keymer & Hassocks
Division 4
K & H enjoyed another robust encounter away to Lewes Bridgeview in Division 4-both sides contributing to an entertaining game.
K & H carved out 2 early opportunities and should have gone 2-0 up but LB then got into their stride and took a deserved lead from a well worked move. They continued to dominate possession but gradually K & H got back into the game and it was no surprise when they equalised,Ben Watson powering in a header from a far post cross by Toby Raftery.
This left them in confident mood at the restart but they were caught cold as LB restored their lead with a breakaway and cool finish.K & H responded by playing their best football of the game finally getting in front with a Raftery solo effort and a Wayne Hamilton tap in after a perfect delivery from K & H MOM Stuart Thompson.
Their elation was short lived however as they conceded a disputed free kick at the edge of their area and then got their defensive arrangments wrong allowing a grateful LB to equalise direct. The draw was a fair outcome although near the end LB were unlucky with a beautifully flighted long range effort which clipped the bar while K & H felt they had a shout for a penalty.
