Keymer & Hassocks vs Old Varndeanians

K & H eased to a 6-1 victory over Old Varndenians in Div 4.OV started the brighter dominating early possession and would have gone ahead but for a splendid save by Neil Smith.However K & H got their passing game together and the visitors were pushed onto the back foot.MOM Stuart Thompson opened the scoring with a crisp finish from a James Emmens passs.The roles were reversed for the second Emmens driving forcefully into the far corner.K & H then created numerous chances but the OV keeper proved equal to everything thrown at him.
Thompson finding plenty of space hit his second after the restart and Gregor Ross keeping up his goal an game record notched the 4th from the penalty spot after he was tripped in the box.
OV hit back from a free kick which was sloppily defended by the home side Goalie Smith making his feelings forcefully known to his colleagues.
Sub Robin King came on in the last 15 and kept up a remarkable scoring record with the goal of the game outpacing the OV defence to hit an unstoppable shot.
Toby Raftery wrapped up proceedings with a scrambled effort near the end.
