East court vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 1
K & H made another long journey this time to East Court where they encountered some primitive conditions in the so called pavilion whilst the pitch resembled and upturned saucer festooned with dog mess and with one of the goals leaning back at a crazy angle.
As normal K & H took time to get going but eventually started to put some moves together and struck first with a great finish by Lewis Taylor.East Court hit back with a quickly taken free kick which caught the defence out as they thought the free kick was delayed until the Ref was happy they were ten yards back.K & H had two great close range opportunities to add to their score but the chances were squandered so 1-1 at half time.
The second half was notable for some crazy defending by K&H which effectively handed EC the win. They took the lead from a far post header which should have been blocked.K & H got back in front with 2 goals from Troy Raftery-one a clever overhead kick but EC were let back in when a lob from 40 yards caught out keeper Gary Thomas.Disaster then struck as they conceded yet another far post header from a corner with the player seeming not even having to jump.Although K & H tried to come back again it was clear they were starting to tire and had no option but to accept defeat.
