Keymer & Hassocks vs Ardingly II
Division 4
Keymer & Hassocks had to dig deep to earn a 3-2 victory over Ardingly in Division 4.
All seemed well as they created some early chances before Gregor Ross gave them the lead but Ardingly then turned up the heat and the K & H defence had to withstand a real battering where only a combination of some brilliant saves by goalie Neil Smith, the posts and heroic work by their back four prevented a rout, the visitors being restricted to a single goal.
A tactical change proved to be K & H's salvation with their MOM Neil Baker coming on at full back but playing an attacking role which provided a supply to the front men who were now well in the game. The decisive strike came from Toby Raftery with a fierce left foot drive on the turn followed by a Stuart Thompson cross for Wayne Hamilton to finish close in.
Ardingly pulled one back,a lob from outside the box with 5 to go,but K & H still looked comfortable as they ran down time.
