Hurst vs Keymer & Hassocks
Edgar
After last week’s woeful display at West Hoathly K & H re-discovered how to play football with a 4-1 win at Hurst in the EG Cup
K & H opted for a five man midfield in the first half but that meant little was created against a very well organised Hurst defence-just one opportunity in fact when Gary Thomas had a one on one with the keeper but was denied by a super save.K & H also looked comfortable in defence until a quickly taken corner took them by surprise and Hurst had scored before they could react
K & H h got back in it virtually from the kick off as Gary Thomas hit a looping ball from about 25 yards over the keeper. With Toby Raftery now partnering Jo Davey up front they began to fashion more attacks and Raftery put Davey in for a finish from close range-Davey followed this up with a solo effort when he managed to exploit a gap in the Hurst defence and Gregor Ross got in for the fourth after a smart one two with Raftery
MOM for K & H went to Gary Kerr for an assured display at full back
