Ardingly vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 2
K & H opened their season with a 3-1 defeat away to Ardingly who were clearly the better of 2 poor teams and fully deserved their win. There was a brief moment of hope when Stuart Thompson fired home early on but the Ref ruled it out on the word of the home linesman.
Ardingly took the lead with a well worked goal which they held till half time.Shortly after James Harris and Dave Edwards both had to come off with injuries and K & H’s misery was intensified when a totally mishit cross found its way into the net from a tight angle.
Thompson finished well for what was to prove a consolation goal before Ardingly-by now taking the p** out of the exhausted K & H players-wrapped it up with a fine solo effort.
K & H MOM went to Morehead Handford out of sympathy for his hapless display as captain on the day joining the ranks of a long list of such failures.
