Cuckfield Town II vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 3
After a 2 week lay off K & H were eagerly anticipating a good result against Cuckfield but truth to say they played like a team of strangers in the first half with passes going astray all over the pitch in contrast to the hosts who played a tidy passing game and enjoyed majority possession throughout.
Perhaps if only because they couldnt be any worse K & H perked up in the the second half and gradually applied pressure forcing Cuckfield back where for the last 20 minutes they fought an impressive rearguard action to keep the visitors at bay.
K & H should properly have scored as good close range chances fell to Mike Ridley Dave Edwards and James Emmens which on any other day they would expect to put away. But it was not to be and K & H's luck was summed up when Troy Raftery and James Handford having got behind the Cuckfield defence ran into each other as they went for the same ball and the chance was gone.
Credit to Cuckfield though for a well derserved draw.
