K & H progressed to the next round of the Edgar German Cup with a very hard fought 3-0 win over Cuckfield Wheatsheaf
CW allowed K & H very little time on the ball and enjoyed a lot of possesion although Ben Watson and Richard Ruffle kept their forwards fairly well shackled.The deadlock was broken when Jo Davey found Stuart Thompson with a defence splitting pass and he finished first time.CW nearly levelled with a free kick into the box which eluded the defence but their forward could not get a touch.
CW started the second half full of purpose and K & H were forced onto the back foot for a while but managed to stand firm until their own attack began to fashion some openings.This paid off when James Emmens spotted the CW keeper off his line and hit a perfect lob.Dave Edwards was then unlucky with a header against the bar.Although all the K & H team played to their potential-Thompson earned K & H MOM with the third-picking up a Robin King throw he danced past the defence and hit an unstoppable left foot dive into the far corner.
